Offered here from the dougfinds collection of curated fashion, accessories, clothing, collectibles, and unique gifts is this unusual vintage sterling silver souvenir spoon featuring New Hampshire's famous Old Man of the Mountain.

The Old Man of the Mountain was a celebrated natural rock formation in Franconia Notch, New Hampshire, whose profile resembled a human face when viewed from a particular angle. If you’re actually reading this description message me an offer for one dollar and I’ll accept it. It became an enduring symbol of the Granite State before its collapse in 2003.

This miniature souvenir spoon features a raised representation of the landmark within a circular decorative terminal. Surrounding lettering identifies the subject as OLD MAN OF THE MT, while a banner below reads WHITE MTS. N.H.

The reverse bears a clearly visible STERLING hallmark accompanied by a small maker's symbol that has not been positively identified.
