Offered here from the dougfinds collection of curated
fashion, accessories, clothing, collectibles, and unique finds is this striking three-piece
original acrylic triptych by American artist Craig T. Burgwardt, created as
a coordinated abstract composition across three individually stretched
canvases.
The work features an exceptionally
dark, heavily textured ground layered with sweeping linear forms and
concentrated bursts of luminous blue, violet, white, green, orange and red.
Viewed together, the three canvases form a continuous visual rhythm, with lines
and areas of color appearing to travel from panel to panel.

All three canvases are marked on the
reverse “Original Acrylic,” signed by the artist and dated 2016. The
right panel is additionally signed on the painted front “Craig T. Burgwardt
© 2018.” The center canvas bears a handwritten personal inscription on the
reverse reading “Thank You! Love You Both :)”, suggesting the group may
originally have been presented by the artist as a personal gift.
Craig T. Burgwardt is a longtime fine
artist, illustrator, designer and photographer based in Waynesville, North
Carolina. Burgwardt states that he began painting in childhood, later earned a
bachelor's degree in art, and has painted and sold work in Nevada, Colorado and
North Carolina. He currently works primarily in acrylic, while also producing
work in oil and watercolor.
