Offered here from the dougfinds collection of curated fashion, accessories, clothing, collectibles, and unique gifts is this beautiful Russian majolica ceramic candle luminary, featuring a charming hand-painted winter village beneath a brilliant cobalt-blue night sky.

This decorative globe showcases a picturesque snowy landscape, complete with rustic log cottages, snow-covered rooftops, bare winter trees, and gently rolling snowdrifts. The warm golden-brown buildings contrast beautifully against the deep blue sky, creating a wonderful sense of a peaceful winter evening.

What makes this piece particularly special is its combination of traditional ceramic craftsmanship, colorful hand-painted decoration, and pierced star-shaped openings.

When illuminated from within, the cutouts allow warm light to shine through the globe, transforming the decorative winter landscape into a glowing nighttime scene.

A Beautiful Illuminated Display

The carefully positioned star and circular cutouts are an important part of this luminary's appeal.

When a light is placed inside, the openings glow warmly, bringing the hand-painted winter scene to life. Depending on the light source and surrounding environment, the stars can also cast charming shapes onto nearby surfaces.

The effect is especially lovely in a dimly lit room, where the blue winter landscape and warm illuminated openings create a cozy holiday atmosphere.

Traditional Russian Pottery Character

The underside retains its original gold-colored "Made in Russia" sticker, along with faint workshop-style markings and an incised X.

The natural terracotta interior and unglazed foot provide an interesting contrast to the colorful glazed exterior, highlighting the ceramic construction beneath the decoration.
