Offered here from the dougfinds collection of curated fashion, accessories, clothing, collectibles, and unique gifts is this authentic vintage Ceramiche Leonardo ceramic fish dish hand-crafted in Italy during the 1960s–1970s. This beautiful Mid-Century Modern piece features a highly detailed, textured fish scale pattern finished in a vibrant, hand-painted "rainbow" gradient glaze of iridescent green, yellow, pink, and orange hues.

An expressive piece of Italian ceramic artistry that brings a little of the seaside to the table.

This wonderfully dimensional fish dish features an elongated body with individually raised scales, sculpted fins, a distinctive open mouth, and an expressive eye. Its colorful glaze transitions from soft seafoam green across the upper body into sunny yellow, warm coral pink, and rose tones along the belly.

Fine black accents emphasize the raised scales and fins, while a glossy finish highlights the sculptural details throughout.

The underside is impressed 7059 – MADE IN ITALY, identifying its Italian origin and mold number.

A Little Coastal Personality

There's something especially appealing about vintage Italian fish ceramics. Their imaginative shapes, colorful finishes, and playful interpretations of marine life make them as much decorative art as functional tableware.

This particular piece has wonderful visual depth, with the overlapping scales and individually accented fins creating texture and movement across the entire fish.

Display it on a kitchen shelf, incorporate it into a nautical or Mediterranean-inspired dining arrangement, or use it as a decorative centerpiece for a coastal-themed table.

Its combination of sculptural detail and lively color makes it an attractive addition to a collection of Italian pottery, fish-themed ceramics, or vintage coastal home accessories.

The impressed factory markings remain legible.
