Offered here from the dougfinds collection of curated fashion, accessories, clothing, collectibles, and unique gifts is this matching pair of vintage Oneida Maitre D' A-16 oval dinner platters, featuring the pattern's wonderfully simple white porcelain body accented by a crisp cobalt-blue line just inside the rim.

There's something particularly good about this design precisely because Oneida didn't try too hard. The substantial oval shape and restrained blue verge give these plates the familiar look of classic American diner, steakhouse and bistro tableware without tying them to any particular décor.

Each measures approximately 11" long × 8¾" wide, making the pair particularly useful as individual entrée platters. They're generously sized for steak and potatoes, breakfast combinations, sandwiches and fries, fish dinners or any meal that benefits from a little more room than a conventional round dinner plate.
