Offered here from the dougfinds collection of curated fashion, accessories, clothing, collectibles, and unique gifts is this vintage W. Goebel Blumenkinder “Her Kitten” porcelain figurine, model 214/A, designed by Lore Blokker and dating to 1966.

There is something wonderfully innocent about this one. A young girl in a delicately painted dress, striped stockings and floral hair decoration gently holds an unusually cooperative white kitten against her skirt. From the tiny flowers scattered across the grassy base to the cat's green eyes and the girl's softly painted face, this is exactly the sort of detail that made these mid-century Goebel figures so charming.

Collector Details:

• Authentic W. Goebel, West Germany porcelain figurine
• Blumenkinder / Flower Children series
• Titled “Her Kitten”
• Designed by Lore Blokker
• Mold/model number 214/A
• Approximately 7¼ inches tall
• Hand-painted polychrome decoration
• Girl depicted holding a white kitten
• Raised floral and naturalistic details around the base
• Ribbed pedestal-style porcelain base
• Incised mold identification and additional handwritten production/painter marking
• Blue W. Goebel W. Germany factory backstamp

The figurine remains remarkably attractive and well preserved, particularly considering its vintage age. The delicate projecting elements—the kitten, hands, flowers and girl's hair decoration—remain intact, and the glaze retains a lovely bright gloss. I find no chips, cracks or repairs in my inspection.

The underside tells an important part of the story and has been photographed closely rather than hidden: the incised 214/A mold designation, handwritten production marking and blue Goebel factory stamp remain present. Some light age-related discoloration and handling evidence can also be seen around the underside/base.

Whether collected specifically as Goebel Blumenkinder, Lore Blokker work, vintage West German porcelain, cat-themed figurines or simply because this little girl and her kitten are ridiculously charming, this is a particularly displayable example.

Please review all photographs carefully, as they are considered part of the description and provide the best representation of this item's condition.
