This elegant serving piece showcases the streamlined styling that made chrome tableware so popular during the mid-century era. The domed lid is accented by a striking rose blossom finial, while the tray features an attractive gadroon (ruffled) border that frames the dish beautifully. Inside sits the original clear glass insert with its classic sunburst pattern, designed to cradle a standard stick of butter.

Adding to its appeal, the original blue Shelton-Ware N.Y.C. foil label remains attached to the underside—a detail often lost over years of use and one collectors appreciate.

Also included is a vintage chromium-plated butter spreader marked "Sheffield, England." While it was not originally sold with this Shelton-Ware butter dish, it complements the set nicely and is included as a courtesy.
