Offered here from the dougfinds collection of curated fashion, accessories, clothing, collectibles, and unique gifts is this distinctive set of three vintage Beau Brummell / Mr. John men’s neckties, originally retailed by the historic R.W. Camp Co. stores of Middletown and Essex, Connecticut.

A terrific matched grouping of authentic wide-blade neckwear from the bold 1970s era, each measuring approximately 4.5 inches across the widest point.

The lot includes:

• Deep red tonal jacquard tie with mixed geometric and patterned woven panels

• Navy blue tonal jacquard tie with alternating textured woven panels

• Brown and pale lavender geometric floral tie with a striking allover abstract design

Two ties retain Mr. John Beau Brummell labels. Two retain embroidered R.W. Camp Co. — Middletown–Essex, Conn. retailer labels. All three carry identical WPL 124 identification tags and the same “All Polyester Imported Fabric” content labeling, supporting their common Beau Brummell production source.

R.W. Camp was a historic Connecticut men’s and women’s clothing retailer with locations in Middletown and Essex. Mr. John was associated with the Beau Brummell neckwear line, making this group an especially appealing piece of Connecticut retail and men’s-fashion history.

These are true vintage wide kipper-style ties, not modern narrow reproductions. The generous 4.5-inch blades, rich woven textures and strong period patterns make them ideal for collectors, theatrical wardrobe, retro formalwear, weddings, costume styling, disco-era fashion or everyday statement dressing.

Condition

All three ties have been carefully hand-washed, shaped and prepared for listing. They present beautifully and remain in very nice vintage condition overall.

There may be minor age-related wear, loose threads or fraying to some of the original cloth brand and retailer labels. No major stains, holes or significant fabric damage.
