Offered here from the dougfinds collection of curated fashion, accessories, clothing, collectibles, and unique gifts is this elegant vintage Couleuvre France porcelain cracked egg vase from the Birks Limoges Ligne collection.

This distinctive French porcelain vase features the classic cracked egg ("oeuf cassé") silhouette standing gracefully on three sculpted feet. Finished in luminous white porcelain with richly detailed floral transfers and generous hand-painted 24-karat gold leaf gilding, it beautifully combines traditional French elegance with sculptural modern design.

Produced by Couleuvre, one of France's historic porcelain manufacturers founded in 1789, this decorative vase reflects the refined craftsmanship for which French porcelain has long been admired. Its compact size makes it equally suitable for displaying fresh flowers, dried arrangements, or as a striking standalone decorative accent.

Detailed Condition

This vase is in excellent vintage condition. The glossy white porcelain retains a beautiful, even finish, while the floral motifs remain crisp and vibrant. The hand-painted gold leaf decoration is bright with only minimal age-appropriate wear visible upon close inspection. The interior glaze is exceptionally clean and appears to have seen little, if any, use. I found no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs.
