of vintage ceramic boot bud vases, featuring colorful hand-painted floral
decoration over an ivory/cream crackle-glazed finish.
These
miniature ceramic boots have loads of vintage character. Each is molded in the
form of a tall, pointed-toe boot with subtle folds around the ankle and a
contrasting brown painted sole and heel.
The
floral decoration wraps beautifully around the boots, combining yellow and
orange flowers, smaller pink blossoms, green foliage and hand-painted brown
accents. Although clearly designed as a pair, the hand-applied decoration
gives each boot its own subtle variations.
The
cream-colored glaze displays extensive fine crazing throughout, giving
the pair a wonderful aged surface and making the floral colors stand out
particularly well.

CONDITION
Very
Good vintage condition with attractive age-related character.
Both
boots display overall fine glaze crazing consistent with age. There is minor
surface wear, small marks/discoloration and some wear/variation to the
brown-painted bottom edges. Interiors show some light age/use discoloration.
No
obvious chips, cracks or repairs.
A
wonderfully decorative little matched pair — attractive displayed together on a
shelf, mantel, windowsill, vanity or incorporated into vintage floral décor.
